The supply of electricity currently is fully deregulated. Companies offer "bespoke" fixed price contracts, but such is the volatility of the electricity market, no one supplier is dominant for any length of time. Although the domestic market is fully deregulated, consumers are reluctant to change electricity supplier, either because of misplaced loyalty, or because they have changed once and experienced difficulties within the changeover process.
